Otter Hill Forge

  June 8, 2018

We had Jerry Darnell from Seagrove, NC., making a Weaping Heart Door Latch in the morning and a Dutch Heart Strap Hinge in the after noon, both shown in Jerry's Forging Colonial Ironwork, book. Jerry is one of the best, if not the best blacksmith doing 17 & 18th century iron work. You can see a lot of his work in the movies.

There were 33 members at the meeting. Want to thank Barbra and family for the lunch and morning snacks, and LT for hosting the event. It takes a lot of work to setup and perpare for an event.

Jay Hatfield won the bid on the Latch

TW Hudson won the bid on the Hinge

Tom Wenrich won the 50/50 raffle.
